Top 8 Books I Want to Read in 2017

day-8

This is hard. There are so many book I want to get to next year. I still need to sort out my TBR and decided which books I’m most excited to read and which are at the bottom of it. BUT these next books are definitely high priority, most are new-to-me authors so that should be interesting.

I tried to at least pick up half female and half male authors I’m excited to read, but there’s not much diversity here.

There’s been a lot of talk this year about diversity and it’s importance in the media we consume. It’s something that I’ve started to look more into in the books I read. And I’ve found that it’s very important to me. Next year I want to make an even bigger effort to read diverse books and support #ownvoices

    1. Yeah! there are so many books to read 🙂 Laini Taylor is coming out with a new book and I haven’t even read this trilogy. If you end up reading it, I’ll be interested to know what you think 🙂
A lot of the Epic Fantasy book series I want to start are written by men and they are not exactly diverse. This doesn’t mean they are going to be bad or anything, but it’s something I notice a lot more now. I’ll definitely keep reading them, but also I want to make an effort to incorporate other stories into my reading.
